Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Dr Kent now resides in Grand Prairie, Texas. A former gangster and drug addict, he lived out his teenage years on the streets of Chicago in the volatile 1960’s, looking for trouble.
Dr Kent is a Vietnam Veteran, having served his country in South Vietnam as part of the US Marine Corps, and was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries acquired during acts of bravery. An avid scholar, Dr Kent has a Doctorate in Pastoral Studies and a Master’s Degree in Christian Education, Social Work, and Anthropology.
He has had fifteen years’ experience in the areas of International Relations and Diplomacy, and Global Health and Poverty at both National and International levels. As Vice-President of Global 2000 (2010), an Internationally Accredited Ambassador to the United Nations, and an International Humanitarian he works to promote the aims and objectives of the UN and its various agencies worldwide. Dr Kent is also a professionally certified Diamond Exporter for the country of Sierra Leone West Africa.
Dr Kent is an author, with a unique gifting with words, and especially acronyms which bring the Word of God alive to the reader. His first book ‘A Word Fitly Spoken’ is a 52-week devotional with a jab.
Ordained in 1980, Dr Kent is a Fifth Generation Preacher, and an Apostle called to the Nations, carrying with him a strong teaching anointing. He has ministered extensively throughout the USA, West Africa, South Africa, Trinidad, China, Vanuatu, the UK, and Australia, and is a Global Ambassador for Go Gen Pty Ltd (formerly Global Apostolic Network) based in Brisbane, Australia.
Dr Kent is the apostolic oversight of C.A.R.E. Church Inc. (formerly Kingdom Praise and Worship Centre), in Arlington Texas,Christian Family Fellowship in Springwood, Australia, and is actively assisting in the growth of churches in Kono, Sierra Leone, West Africa and Logan City, Australia.
